About Me

Hi, I’m Jackson, a 20-year-old metal artist from Essex, Massachusetts. Growing up, I was fortunate to have access to a creative workspace where I learned from my father, sculptor Chris Williams. Watching him transform metal into art gave me a deep appreciation for the craft. After spending several years working alongside him, I eventually felt inspired to branch out and pursue my own path.

Luckily, my father passed along a few of his projects to help me get started, and I was incredibly grateful for the opportunity! My first sculpture was an elk, and I quickly fell in love with the challenge of capturing life with steel rods. By bending and shaping each piece, I could follow the natural lines and create a sense of movement. When the sculpture was finished, I felt proud, but also a little upset that the project had come to an end. I wanted to keep creating, but I quickly realized I’d run out of work and that finding new opportunities wouldn’t just fall into my lap anymore. I needed exposure.

I launched my social media accounts and started posting consistently. I experimented with all kinds of projects and even tried ceramics for a while, but nothing really stuck. After some thought, I realized I had to go big or go home! The next piece I wanted to create was a deer, and this time I decided to bring you guys along for the journey! Surprisingly, one TikTok video of the deer went viral, and it sold! I was ecstatic! Whatever I was doing seemed to be working, so I kept going. The next time, I went even bigger. Let’s make a moose! And so it began. I am incredibly grateful for everyone here. Thanks to you guys, I was able to move into a shop of my own in Asheville, NC, and do what I love full time! Thank you!!!
